The Sea, the Sea always the Sea

I have finished my latest woven piece and here is the result. I continued to mix different yarns and used more textured yarns in this piece. I used less white on the horizon. This work is going to one of my favourite people and will hang beside the sea.

Picnic by the Sea

I love to take my lunch and eat it by the sea at Tragummna. It has been many weeks since I have been able to do this but this week I did get to go there and have a walk along the shore. I was rewarded by that milky green sea with touches of other colours that you get here under a grey sky. When I got home it was straight out with the oils and here is the result. I will a weave a textured piece to go over it and it will be interesting to do because there will be very limited colours.
