Hot! Hot! Hot!

Kevin and I did a Lampwork bead making workshop with HelenG Beads. This is our 2nd time. I was suprised at how much I remembered after a year. I wanted to make some green, red and orange beads so we started with those. I think we made enough for a Chilli Pepper necklace. Kevin got bored with these colours and then had a play with lots of other colours. He didn't stop and Helen asked him if he was a workaholic, spot on! 

Helen was so patient and helpful and it was a joy to spend time with her in her new studio. We are thrilled with the results. 

Devon Delights

There are many delights in Devon but my one of favourites has to be hedgerows. They are just bursting with life and I want to keep stopping to take pictures of cow parsley. I keep looking at the structure of the plant and wondering how I could improve my stitching. I thought I was nearly finished with hedgerows but here I am with ideas for two more stitchings.

My other favourite thing has to be cream teas. I favor the Devon method of jam first and cream on top.
