"All I want is to be by the sea, and a cottage to just be"

 

We had a wonderful week in Connemara and it was lovley to be able to slow, slow, slow stitch surrounded by the sea. I was preparing backgrounds for our summer exhibition and I have now finished my seascraps trio. They will be framed individually and hung one below the other starting with the darkest at the top.

 

 

Silks and buttons

Katie spent six weeks in the Far East and had a whale of a time. While she was there she visited Hanoi. She went shopping and kindly brought me back some presents from Silk Street and Button Street. I have already used the tiny buttons in one of my button stitchings. The sea colour scarf is destined for a sea stitching and I will get some wear out of the others before they too are used. I can already see the Autumn scene with the tree.
