Thank you for looking at my blog. My latest passion is applique which I have been doing since 2015. I love making things and learning new crafts On this blog you will see some of the things I have been working on. You will also see wonderful items created by other people. When I am not crafting I enjoy being with family and friends, singing and family history. My favourite place in the whole world is anywhere by the sea and I have to get my fix every few weeks. My favourite colour is PURPLE but I love turquoise too!
I finished another bag and finally felt brave enough to put it in the washing maching to felt. I now have another to do in purple and then one in autumn colours with bobbles. At this rate I will have to start at the beginning of the book again!
I said I would have a break from knitting with Katia Trianna but my sister wants a scarf to take to an aunt in New York. Will this be the one that goes?
I have been weaving and have had great fun playing with my first piece which I have called "Into the Blue". I had no plan, just colours I wanted to use and went with the flow. This piece will be exhibited in August with the Cork Hand Weavers Guild.
Tina and I had a happy, chatty day making cards. I made some using a photograph I took at Cunnamore (the sea and sky really were these colours) last year. You can get photos printed with four or eight small images which are ideal for this purpose.
