Hello

Thank you for looking at my blog. My latest passion is applique which I have been doing since 2015. I love making things and learning new crafts On this blog you will see some of the things I have been working on. You will also see wonderful items created by other people. When I am not crafting I enjoy being with family and friends, singing and family history. My favourite place in the whole world is anywhere by the sea and I have to get my fix every few weeks. My favourite colour is PURPLE but I love turquoise too!

Wavey coins

I liked these wavey amathest coins and so did Jenny so this necklace is for her. I was going to use some round beads in between the coins but then decided on the purple coloured flourite chips which I think set off the coins well.

Red and Black

Joan bought me some gorgeous saucer shaped hematite beads and I combined them with some red ones to make two necklaces. I had some red ones left over so used some of the other hematite beads she gave me. They look so different depending on the amount of red beads.

Tutti-frutti

I took a long time to choose these beads as there were lots of strands. Would I keep the dark ones for me or the lighter more summery ones? In the end I went with the dark ones combined with purple amathest. I used moonstone with the lighter beads.

Black Bullets

These beads remind me of bulls eye sweets or black butllets as they are called in the North-East. I used some of the black crystals from my long chain.

Tynemouth again

This is the result of three visits to the Sunday market at Tynemouth. Joan went once by herself and we went twice more while I was there. It is a good job that I don't live there!

Salsa

The twirley yarn from Ice comes in a new version called Salsa so I thought that I would limit myself to just knitting one as the colours were lovely.

Odd Socks

I promised Paul that I would make him some socks but he said he only wore odd socks. This was a great opportunity to use up some of my oddments. I think he really liked them and the are definatly one off originals!

Do you like my Jumper?

Here is one of my creations being worn by Sam. What a gorgeous little man and it is lovely to see he is so into his books.
