Hello

Thank you for looking at my blog. My latest passion is applique which I have been doing since 2015. I love making things and learning new crafts On this blog you will see some of the things I have been working on. You will also see wonderful items created by other people. When I am not crafting I enjoy being with family and friends, singing and family history. My favourite place in the whole world is anywhere by the sea and I have to get my fix every few weeks. My favourite colour is PURPLE but I love turquoise too!

Irish Molly's

I was inspired to use some of my old Irish postcards and stitch them unto fabric with some lace and old buttons. I am pleased with the way they have turned out and it is good to get those old postcards out of the album in the dark cupboard.

Terri liked my work and she has asked me to do an exhibition during Heritage Week. It is a scary thought because I have never exhibited on my own and I need to have 20 completed to fill the space. I have 17 more to do because I want to keep this Irish Molly for me. She is sock knitting and she reminds me of my Nana. I think my Dad is pleased with this development and he will be even more pleased if I sell some! I think I get my "good hands" from his side of the family but maybe not because both Mum and her mother could sew too.

The frames are from Dunnes and are very good quality for the price. You can use them portrait or landscape style hang by the hanger or the ribbon or stand them.
